The Musical Heritage of Leonardo da Vinci

On May 19, the Amadeus Choir of Greater Toronto will present The Musical World of Leonardo da Vinci, a concert exploring the relationship between the great Italian Renaissance artist and musician.

The concert will feature music that would have been familiar to Leonardo during his lifetime, performed on period instruments. It will include works by Leonardo’s contemporaries, such as Josquin des Prez, as well as music inspired by the artist, such as Karl Jenkins’ The Armed Man: A Mass for Peace.

This will be a rare opportunity to experience the music of Leonardo da Vinci.
