Seville Pays Tribute to Diego Velazquez in Annual Parade

The first ever Diego Velázquez Parade in Seville will take place on June 10th in honor of the Spanish Baroque artist.

The parade will start at 6 pm at the Plaza de España and will make its way to the Plaza de América, where Velázquez was born.

The parade will be made up of floats and people in costumes inspired by Velázquez’s paintings, and will feature music from the Baroque era.

This parade is a way to honor Velázquez, who is considered one of the most important painters in Spanish history. It is also a way to bring attention to the city of Seville, which is home to many of Velázquez’s most famous paintings.
